Our homes and our lives are not separate from the natural world. Those values are reflected in our place-based whole systems approach to designing healthy homes and their integrated landscapes. Our in-house collaboration between designer and builder streamlines the process of dreaming into doing. It means less lost-in-translation and more bang for your buck.

Whether it's sun salutations on your deck, relaxing in the shade of your walnut tree or plucking the fruits of your labor off the tomato vine -- our yards and gardens are where we connect to the natural world. The out-of-doors are often where we feel most alive, inspired and whole. We’ll help you make the most of your personal nature places through thoughtful design and artful construction.

The nature oriented dwelling, or nōd, is our latest offering in backyard bliss. It’s more than just an outbuilding, it’s an investment in a renewed relationship to the natural world. This innovative and ever-evolving line of accessory structures compliment your main home and give you space to spread out without cramping your style or compromising your values. Building small offers us the chance to push the envelope of ecologically resilient design & construction.

Our work reflects an awareness that our society is in a time of transition. We’re all feeling vulnerable and overwhelmed with the big changes on the horizon.
