Walls that breathe!
Our primary innovation is casting straw-clay into insulation blocks that are dried in a controlled environment before installation into the building frame. Straw-clay is a combination of clean straw and clay slip compressed by hand and foot to yield a non-toxic, carbon-storing insulation material that insulates well and naturally regulates temperature and humidity.

From the care and harvest of trees through to installing the trim around the front door, we’re engaged in the whole process. We help manage an overgrown christmas tree farm in Scholls and source straw from Sauvie Island.
